Raised in Vacaville California and active in year-around sports, Dr Moore played a year of football at U.C. Davis while following my father’s legacy as an engineer. After taking a few science courses, he quickly realized that the ultimate machine was the human body and transferred to U.C. Berkeley to graduate with an Arts Bachelor in Physiology. His love for the Bay area, and interest in foot and ankle surgery convinced him to attend medical school in San Francisco. After his surgical training in Houston, Texas he still resides and practices there today.
"I am grateful for the experience, training and excellent medical community here in Houston. Ossio 3 3mm Bone screw for Bunionectomy - Dr Moore close up for Insertion technique
A few viewers asked if they could see a closer view of the ossio 3.5mm screw being inserted in surgery. Here is a short clip of the cannulated, natural bone product placed over the wire used for temporary stabilization and then tightened down to finish fixation.
OSSIOfiber bone regeneration technology is an all-natural procedure that can get you back to the life you deserve. This advancement for bunion and hammertoe surgeries uses implants made from all-natural materials that turn into your own bone to deliver full strength and permanent healing-without the pain and aggravation of metal implants.

Bio-Integrative OSSIOfiber is a breakthrough fixation material technology that provides the first credible solution to the shortcomings of permanent metal hardware, conventional resorbable and allograft implants. It’s stronger than cortical bone, stronger and more predictable than polymers alone, and without the foreign body reactions, stress-shielding, and potential patient discomfort or removal risks commonly associated with permanent metal hardware.
Strong and Bio-Integrative OSSIOfiber implants provide a unique matrix of fibers made from minerals like those already found in bones to support strong fixation and enable early bone attachment, gradual bone and tissue ingrowth, and complete integration, all without local or systemic adverse response.

How Do I Treat a Foot Fracture on Top of the Foot?
I had the temporary procedure done (played 10 years of soccer with tight kleets) and it grew back worse so now I’m getting the permanent removal procedure on Monday, superrr nervous cause I’ll be awake & have to take that big needle 😭
Man took a video from a helicopter
Thank God for these surgeons.
I had surgery bunion surgery back in September 2023. The Dr. Never shaved down the head. Now I have to go back. I'm so upset. It should have been done all at the same time.
Please, what’s the name of the chemical used?
phenol, 89%.
I might need to do this and i heard it doesn't hurt but it LOOKS SO SCARY
Omgg why he keeps poking on her surgery site with no gloves I cringe when I see that makes me cringe
She has pretty feet
I had left 5th metatarsal surgery yesterday. I am early in the recovery process and I can't bear ANY pressure on my foot.
My bone is very soft, I have a bunion and hammer toe. Cerebral Palsy and Arthritis and my question is can the bone in the big toe be replaced, help
is this the toe bro's father?😂
Swelling R.ankle 2 years ,post opt ?
Hi doc your model seems wrong, lateral malleolous is on the wrong side😅
This patient talks too much.
I got this done in a foreign country and they didn’t numb me !!! It HURT SO BAD and I was screaming Jesus !!! The doctor got annoyed with my reaction and was like you act like I’m torturing you it’s not that bad…!!! For real so after that I will only get medical procedures done in the US
I thought recovery takes over 2 months… not 2-3 weeks. I was also told that driving was not possible even wearing the special boot. I’m in Montreal Canada. 2-3 weeks sounds much better! What tape do you recommend to hold the hammertoe down before I do surgery? My 2nd toe on my right foot.
There really is no special tape out there on the market, but Amazon has a plethora of products if you type in “silicon toe protector”
Doctor: What is recovry timeline for such surgeries
I broke my fibula 3 months ago and I have surgery on tomorrow morning I’m so ready I have been in so much pain I’m just ready to get back to my normal routine ❤
Can you feel the pain all the time or when you lie on it put weight on it?
@@ksnjos001 I feel all the time it gets worse at night because my foot spasms a lot but I just had surgery yesterday so I’m hoping for a speedy recovery ❤️❤️
@@vaughn47Wishing you quick recovery to your leg 🦵 Thanks 🙏

Ouch that looks awful. But after suffering for 12 months with plantar fasciitis and having tried the conservative treatments. This is the only option left for me 😢

That was insane and I would faint.
Hi, I think I have one in my talus bone as when I walk forward my foot can’t dorsi flex without pain. Sharp pain on the inside of the ankle. When I do a certain exercise it halts the pain for a while. What is the best way to see a bone spur? X-ray , MRI or a ct scan ? I need to get this looked at .
Yes, I would have an x-ray and an MRI both. Inside ankle pain can be internal joint damage on the tibia or talus, but you could have issues with your posterior tibial tendon as well.
I about passed out watching this.
i might have this
Has anyone seen the X-rays of Convicted Felon Donnie? Because 99% of the American people believe he lied about having them to dodge the draft.
I thought that the chemical solution is supposed to stay on for a certain amount of time and if it only stays on for a few seconds like this that it will grow back in the future with same issue. Is this not true?
The nail matrix cells that produce the alph keratin protein nail itself can be removed surgically or chemically. This procedure is both. The chemical will damage or kill just the cells in the corner if applied neatly and carefully. And then the curetage will remove the rest.
You make it look so easy 😢
I am having this done in 3 days… I am so scared 😭
You will be fine, trust me 😊
@@itszeytroin__ smiling friends ftw 🙌 and you were right!
@@claw_cakesI got mine a week ago, I was nervous too, watching this video though makes me feel all my screws and plate right now stitches all itchy and everything lmao 😂
This is like disturbing, but its the best to see a bones.
I had a fibula fracture and dislocated my ankle. Got a plate and screws. 6 weeks got my cast off and given a boot my ankle is still quite swollen and the range of rotation is terrible. When should I expect the swelling to stop and increased flexibility
Just depends on how much ligament and/or internal cartilage damage you may have or may not have. But 6-8 weeks is really just the beginning of the fracture healing. The scar tissue and swelling can continue to be troublesome for your concerns as early as 12 weeks and as late as 6 months. I would chat with your surgeon about this to see what kind of PT, continued rest, or other specific treatment modalities are suggested.
@@DrRobertJMooreIIIthank you, I appreciate you taking time to reply to my comment! Thanks for the information
Go for an X-ray and consult with doctor
I cringed so hard
How much it cost?
Removals using the phenol to make sure the ingrown does not come back are covered by all health insurance companies. Cash pay patients run between $250 - $500
Where is your address
What is the chemical material that he put in the borders of nail ??? Can anyone answer me please
Phenol. Much more effective than sodium hydroxide, laser, silver nitrate, etc.
কাকা, খরচা কত?
So… Bible technique hurts but works?
.....and it has to be the bible because it also smacks some holy spirit into ya.
This got to be the most traumatizing video for the people who has algophobia

Which chemical do you use? Silver nitrate?
Phenol, 89%
Hello doctor , my MRI stated ‘ Diffuse poorly remodeled high grade injury anterior talofibular and calcaneofibular ligaments. Poorly remodeled intermediate grade injury of deep fibers of deltoid ligament ‘ it’s been 4 months since my ankle injury . Pain and swelling persists , is surgery the only option for treatment or physiotherapy will help ?
These are difficult questions Sachin when I am unable to examine you or see the results myself. In short, there could be other issues, but what I tell all my patients is to minimize all weight bearing exercise and activities for 3+ months (remember anything to reagravate the injury can start the clock over), wear the book as directed, etc. Meaning, it can't hurt at all to wait unless it's unstable and 'gives out' due to pain or dysfunction. That and I'm not against physical therapy, but I have seen this delay healing when there are reoccuring ligament and tendon injuries. Lastly, don't discount the fact that there may be internal cartilage damage that is hard to see on MRI. Again, one day there will be techology that helps surgeons do this better over the internet, but for now this is best done with someone in your medical community.
Give it time. Meaning real time. No physical therapy yet, but really limit the body loading activity and exercise for 2-3 months. That being said, until technology can do better for someone like me over the internet, I cannot give advice without a proper exam and all the information about your injury. The only other thing I would consider with your doctor in your area is possibly cartilage or subchondral injury which would cause continued swelling and pain with increased activity.... And sometimes very hard to see on MRI.
@@DrRobertJMooreIII thank you for sparing time and giving your insightful opinion .
@@sachinprajapati4537 You're welcome.
I need this amazing job you done
Ankles that require surgical repair will never be the same as before. I have my small issues after breaking my ankle more than 30 years ago. Arthritis is now adding to the list as I get older.
Thank you 🙂
What is recovery time 2:02
I have the patients keep their foot dry for 2 weeks, then three weeks back in shoes. One of the more simple recoveries for foot surgery.
Excelente
i did this today but not like this
Haven’t had one of these since the 80s. I make damn sure to cut straight across since then.
It’s so cool watching the surgery I had. 6 hours it took and damn that’s crazy that thing is in my ankle…..
Wow she doesn't look like she has sever joint deformities. I have severe joint deformities.I've been avoiding having to do surgery but now it's getting harder to walk. I'm also developing bone spurs in my Meta ta tarsal area. Not sure if it's related to the severe hammer Toes But i'm terrified to have to do surgery
Yes, it is scary. But I would get a few opinions from surgeons in your area in regard to what surgery would they perform, what area of the foot would it 'fix', how they were going to do it, what would the post operative period be like, etc. As for this patient, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And she wanted the skin lesions removed from her toes (the eliptical incisions) and then her toes straightened and shortened to fit better/ not hurt in tight dress shoes and look better in sandals.
